4K a year The Produce Manager reports directly to the Store Manager at their assigned location.
The Produce Manager is expected to provide day-to-day leadership of the Store's Produce Team while working as a key member of its larger, Fresh Goods Leadership Team.
Key Accountabilities:
Accountable for the profitable operation of his/her Departments, budgets, goals and shrink.
Produce Team Leadership and a champion for Putting People First Employee Relations, by establishing, developing, training and maintaining exceptional customer service by all Produce employees.
Job Functions:
Assures proper rotation, sanitization, and is certified in food safety.
Communicates well with Store associates, customers, subordinates, and others; works toward a team environment in the store.
Promotes teamwork within organization; plans and leads employee and/or small group meetings; responsible for overall morale of the sub-Departments.
Provides adequate staffing; supervises labor scheduling; Sets clear performance expectations for subordinates and measures results.
Facilitates and monitors employee training Follows through in a timely fashion.
Forecasts budgets and anticipates Departmental needs.
Implements and maintains merchandising programs and promotions.
Is knowledgeable about Buehler's personnel policies and procedures, and federal and state labor laws, and sees that they are administered properly.
Plans ahead for seasonal changes, holidays, special events and promotions, with particular emphasis on organization and making the most of each opportunity.
Proactive in defining and resolving both employee and customer issues; communicates well with Store associates, customers, subordinates, and others.
Performs related duties as required or assigned.
